Dyneja is a system consisting of six main components:
1. Controlled movements with axe and sword: It involves precise techniques for handling and manipulating axe and sword with a focus on controlled movements.
2. Shield defense and attack: Here you learn techniques to defend yourself by using a shield at the same time as offensive maneuvers.
3. Ax Throwing: Dyneja includes training in the skill of throwing axes accurately, which requires proper grip, posture and release techniques.
4. Archery and Spear: At black level, "Jarl", Dyneja includes archery training, emphasizing accuracy and skill with the bow and arrow and spears.
5. Making training weapons: Participants learn to make their own training weapons which can be used to practice the various techniques taught in Dyneja. You will also learn to build your own longbow that can shoot over 200 meters.
6. History: Dyneja draws inspiration from Norse mythology and incorporates elements of their stories and teachings into the training methodology.
At DYNEJA, we understand that mastering all techniques may feel repetitive and discouraging for some students. That's why we have carefully designed our training program to address this challenge. With our experienced instructors and innovative teaching methods, we help you break through the mental barrier of repetition, providing guidance and support throughout your journey. Prepare to be amazed as you start seeing real results and progress, gaining confidence and skill with every session.
Weapons
DYNEJA, among other things, incorporates combat training inspired by the Vikings.
Weapon training is a fundamental aspect of Dyneja. While some individuals may not be keen on weapon training and solely aim to improve physical fitness, we always strive to elucidate the significance of the elements and our methods. The focus is not solely on the weapon itself, although the synchronized movements create an impressive display. The crucial aspect lies in utilizing the weapon to enhance muscle strength, particularly through pattern training. The movements practiced during training harken back to essential life skills applicable at any age. Dyneja places emphasis on self-improvement rather than competition, yet we do host axe throwing, cutting, and patterning competitions at our summer camps.
One of the basic principles when training Dyneja is self-control. It goes without saying, we train e.g. with ax and sword ... This means that all students must learn self-control, i.e. self-discipline and self-mastery. This is also one of the reasons why we start with padded and homemade weapons - you need to show self-control before moving on to real weapons.
